OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 97 CAUTION Since Jet Ski personal watercraft are not designed to be docked in the water for extended periods, prolonged immersion in water will cause the hull paint to bubble and peel, as well as electrolytic erosion of some metal parts in the jet pump. To prevent paint damage and electrolytic erosion, remove your Jet Ski watercraft from the water at the end of each day's use; do not leave it in the water overnight. Your Jet Ski watercraft will last longer and look better if you remove it from the water at the end of every day's use. Special Procedures Clearing Clogged Impeller: Occasionally, weeds or other debris may lodge in the impeller/jet pump, severely impairing performance. This foreign matter must be completely cleaned out for the jet pump to function properly. Shut off the engine, and beach the craft. j • WARNING Never attempt to clear the jet pump of debris while the engine is running, or a severe injury can occur. CAUTION

damage and electrolytic erosion,
remove
your Jet Ski watercraft from the water at the
end of each day’s use; do not leave it in the
water overnight. Your Jet Ski watercraft will
last longer and look better if you remove it
from the water at the end of every day’s use.
Special Procedures

WARNING

lanyard key off the stop button before check-

Pull the lanyard key off the stop button.
Place a protective pad next to the boat.
Tip the boat on
port side
and remove the jet pump
grate and cover, if necessary.
