WARNING Carefully follow all of the manufacturer's instructions included with the safety seat you put in your vehicle. If you do not install and use the safety seat properly, the child may be injured in a sudden stop or collision. Installing Safety Seats in the Front Outboard Passenger Seating Position If you choose to install a forward-facing child safety seat in the front seating positions, move vehicle seat as far back as possible. For seating positions equipped with a dual-locking mode retractor, use the following procedure: 1. 2. Position the child seat in center of passenger seating position. Pull down on shoulder belt, then grasp shoulder belt and lap belt together. See Figure 1. 143
