Controls and features • The outer vents can be used to defrost the side windows. This operates in all modes except defrost. To operate, the center vents must be closed and the outer vents positioned towards the windows. • Don't put objects under the front seat that will interfere with airflow to the back seats. • Remove any snow, ice or leaves from the air intake area (at the bottom of the windshield). • When placing objects on top of your instrument panel, do not cover the defroster outlets. These objects can block the airflow and reduce your ability to see through the windshield. In addition, avoid placing small objects on top of your instrument panel. These objects can fall into the defroster outlets and block airflow and possibly damage your climate control system. Cabin air filter Your vehicle is equipped with an air filter that removes pollen and road dust from outside air before it is directed to the interior of the vehicle. Refer to the Maintenance and care chapter for maintenance of this filter. 29
