When deciding where to site the Advanced RPS ensure: s It is accessible and cables can be connected easily. s Cabling is away from: s Sources of electrical noise such as radio transmitters, broadband amplifiers, and heavy electrical equipment. s Power lines and fluorescent lighting fixtures. s Water or moisture cannot enter the case of the unit. s Air flow around the unit and through the vents in the side of the case is not restricted (3Com recommend that you provide a minimum of 75-mm (3-in.) clearance). To prolong the operational life of your units: s Never stack units more than eight high on top of the Advanced RPS. s Do not place objects on top of any unit or stack. s Do not obstruct any vents at the sides of the case. s Ensure the environment is within the operating range of the product as detailed in Appendix B.
