VPU Recover 71 Discard your settings • Click Discard to ignore any unsaved changes and restore the settings that existed when the Catalyst™ Control Center was opened or the last time Apply was used. Discard does not close the Catalyst™ Control Center. Note: Clicking Discard applies to all features of an aspect, not just the feature in the current view. VPU Recover VPU Recover enables the ATI display driver to detect when the graphics processor stops responding to display-driver instructions. When this happens, the display driver attempts to reset the graphics hardware. In most cases, VPU Recover will be able to reset the graphics processor without requiring a system restart. If the computer cannot recover from a crash, VPU Recover will switch the computer to software rendering mode, allowing you to save any work in progress before restarting the computer.
