Chapter 5 Advanced Setup WAN IP Addressing The WAN IP Address screen allows you to manually set up the WAN IP address of the Gateway. To do this: 1. Click WAN IP Address from the menu on the left side of any Advanced Configuration screen. The WAN IP Address screen appears. 2. Select the type of connection the ISP uses. Note: Some DSL providers use PPPoE to establish communication with an end user. Other types of broadband Internet connections (such as fixed point wireless) may use either DHCP or static IP address. If unsure which connection is present, check with Telus before continuing. 3. If using PPPoA or PPPoE was selected in step 1, enter the user name and password in the appropriate text boxes. If the ISP requires no user name or password, click in the "My ISP does not require a username and password" check box. 41

Advanced Setup
WAN IP Addressing
The WAN IP Address screen allows you to manually set up the WAN IP address of
the Gateway. To do this:
1.
Click
WAN IP Address
from the menu on the left side of any Advanced
Configuration screen. The WAN IP Address screen appears.
