verify
The process of checking the integrity of redundant data stored
on fault-tolerant arrays.
virtual device
Arrays and spares which do not exist until they are configured
on the server with Adaptec CI/O Management Software.
virtual device order
The sequence in which the server’s operating system detects
the arrays, single disks, and other devices connected to the
AAC controller when the server boots.
volume
A storage device that is formatted to contain files and
directories. A single physical volume may be divided into more
than one logical volume. See
