Novell NetWare Adobe Acrobat Reader and Viewer are not available for this operating system or a DOS environment. You will need to use a host system where Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Viewer is supported. UNIX Adobe Acrobat Viewer is included on the Adaptec CD to let you view Portable Document Format (PDF) files on a UNIX platform that has Java Runtime Environment 1.1.8 installed. This version is for UNIX operating systems where Acrobat Reader is not available. This package is located in the \acrobat_java subdirectory on the CD. Installing and Configuring Hardware Installation Overview The process of installing an Adaptec controller consists of the following steps: 1 If you are using a RAIDstation enclosure, configure it as described in the Adaptec RAIDstation User's Manual. 2 Configure device IDs, cables and termination for SCSI devices in the host system. 3 If you are expanding your cache memory, plug the appropriate modules into the controller. 9
