Condition LED Off On Blinking Power/ Activity Disk drive not ready* Disk drive is ready (Green) Rapid - Activity on disk drive Slow - Rebuild on disk drive Failure Disk drive operating normally Disk failure (Red) Slow - Disk drive failure predicted Rapid - Disk drive identification (GUI) *For SATA disk drives the LED Off status could also mean that the LED cable and/or the I2C cable is missing, or there is no controller running which controls the LED Power/Activity. Failed disk drives can be hot-swapped. See page 21 for instructions. Solving Problems If you have trouble installing or using your Adaptec 335SAS enclosure, work through this list of suggestions: ● Ensure that all internal cables are fully and properly connected. ● Ensure that the enclosure is properly installed in the server cabinet. Refer to the server manufacturer's instructions. ● Ensure that the disk drives are properly installed. See page 11 for instructions. ● Try replacing the cables. ● Try replacing one or more disk drives. See Silencing the Alarm on page 21 for instructions.
