Figure 12 OS7105 IMPORTANT: DO NOT force frozen chute controls. If frozen, take to warm place until controls are free. Moving The Unit With the Engine Off (Figure 13) If the unit needs to be moved with the engine off, it can be pushed for short distances with the transmission bypassed. IMPORTANT: DO NOT Tow the machine. TRANSMISSION DAMAGE WILL OCCUR. To bypass the transmission, pull the bypass rod outward (Figure 13). Push bypass rod in before starting or operating engine. Pull bypass rod out to move unit short distances with engine stopped. Push bypass rod in before starting or operating engine. IMPORTANT: Before starting or operating ensure that the bypass rod is pushed fully into the machine. Failure to close the bypass rod may result in damage to the transmission. Heated Handles Turn the heated handles 1 switch to the ON (1) position to activate. Turn the switch to the OFF (2) 2 position to deactivate. OS1950 Scraper Blade The scraper blade allows better contact with the surface being cleared. It also prevents damage to the housing from normal usage. IMPORTANT: DO NOT allow scraper blade to wear too far or auger/impeller housing will become damaged. Skid Shoes The skid shoes control the distance between the scraper blade and the ground. Adjust skid shoes equally to keep blade level with the ground. Refer to Pre-Start on page 21 for recommended settings. Drift Cutters (Figure 14) Drift cutters break up snow drifts that are taller than the auger housing and direct the snow into the auger. Store the drift cutters on the auger housing when not in use. Install them as shown below so they are taller than the snow to be cleared. 1 1. Transmission Bypass Rod Figure 13 EN - 19
