2.5 Installing a DIMM The system motherboard comes with two Double Data Rate 2 (DDR2) Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets. The following figure illustrates the location of the sockets: DIMMA1 DIMMB1 112 Pins 12 Pins R 240-pin DDR2 DIMM Sockets Channel Channel A Channel B Sockets DIMM_A1 DIMM_B1 2.5.1 Memory configurations You may install up to 2 GB system memory using 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB, unbuffered non-ECC DDR2 DIMMs. • Always install DIMMs with the same CAS latency. For optimum compatibility, it is recommended that you obtain memory modules from the same vendor. Installing a DIMM
The system motherboard comes with two Double Data Rate 2 (DDR2) Dual
