Tutorial: Moving From AutoCAD to AutoCAD Map 3 3D About The AutoCAD/AutoCAD Map 3D Tutorial AutoCAD Map 3D is built on AutoCAD and includes all AutoCAD functionality. Map files are saved in DWG format, just like regular AutoCAD drawings. However, AutoCAD Map 3D adds features that are not available in AutoCAD. Try out these additional features in this tutorial. Lesson 1: Prepare Drawings for Use With AutoCAD Map 3D If you are new to AutoCAD Map 3D, your drawings might not be ready to take advantage of the features in AutoCAD Map 3D.
