18 RD-8 MKII User Manual 13. Parameters There are three different types of data files used by the RD-8 MKII. The contents of these file types are described herein. Global Settings File All of the RD-8 MKII's Settings and Preferences are stored in the Global Settings file. This file is loaded from Storage Memory when the unit is powered on. The exact contents of the file are described below: Settings Settings in the Global Settings file are automatically saved back to Storage Memory whenever they are changed. This firmware will contain both bug fixes and new features. Additional parameters may be added to the Global Settings Data file to support those new features. The Global Settings Data file is therefore versioned to guarantee compatibility between firmware releases. The RD-8 MKII is one of a number of Behringer products that sequence songs. This parameter is used to distinguish between RD-8 MKII Song Data files and other song data files. Each time a song is loaded into the sequencer it is logged. When you power on the unit, the last song to be logged before the unit was powered 1 - 16 off will be loaded back into the sequencer. Each time a pattern is loaded in the sequencer it is logged. When you power on the unit, the last pattern to be logged before the unit 1 - 16 was powered of will be loaded back into the sequencer. Each RD unit in a system can have its own unique ID number. 1 - 16 Press Sync to cycle through the 4 clock source options. This preference selects which Filter Enable parameter is used to enable or disable by the Analog Filter on the RD-8 MKII's FX bus.. This preference selects which Filter Automation parameter is used by the sequencer. It also selects which set of Filter Step Values are used when the automation is active. This preference selects which Polymeter parameter is used by the sequencer. This preference selects which Step Size parameter is used by the sequencer. This preference selects which Auto-Advance parameter is used by the sequencer. Auto-Advance is a function of a Song but not of a Pattern. This preference is therefore limited to Song and Global. This preference selects which Auto-Scroll parameter is used by the sequencer. Auto-Scroll is a function of a Pattern but not of a Song. This preference is therefore limited to Pattern and Global. This preference selects which set FX Bus assignments are used to send to voices to the FX Bus. This preference selects which set of Mute Bus assignments are used to mute the RD-8 MKII's voices. This preference selects which set of Solo Bus assignments are used to solo the RD-8 MKII's voices. Parameters
There are three different types of data files used by the RD-8 MKII. The contents
of these file types are described herein.
Global Settings File
All of the RD-8 MKII’s Settings and Preferences are stored in the Global Settings
file. This file is loaded from Storage Memory when the unit is powered on. The
exact contents of the file are described below:
