Working with the built-in microphone If a USB cable (USB type-B to USB type-A) is connected to the USB Upstream port on your monitor, the built-in microphone will be turned on automatically by showing the LED indicator in green. If multiple microphones are detected by your computer and you are prompted to select one, select the monitor's model name (i.e., the monitor's built-in microphone). You can mute the microphone by pressing the Mute button. Check MIC LED indicator on page 42 for more information. With the AI noise cancellation technology the microphone picks up sounds (especially vocal) within certain range (Private Mode). To adjust the volume or change the settings, see Microphone on page 56 for more information. MIC LED indicator Light color Green Amber Off Description The microphone is turned on and ready for use. The microphone is muted. The microphone is not available. Activating Lighting LED lights on the rear of the monitor provide different colors or effects to enhance your user experience. 1. Press / / to bring up the Quick Menu. 2. Go to Menu > Lighting > Turn ON to enable the function. 3. Select a preferred color or effect. The setting will take effect immediately. Adjusting display mode To display images of aspect ratio other than 16:9 and size other than the panel size of your purchased model, you can adjust the display mode on the monitor. 1. Press / / to bring up the Quick Menu. 2. Go to Menu > System > Display > Display Mode. 3. Select an appropriate display mode. The setting will take effect immediately. Choosing an appropriate color mode Your monitor provides various picture modes that are suitable for different types of images. Display settings can be saved by color mode. See Color Mode on page 51 for all the available picture modes. 42
