6 PHONEBOOK Each handset can store up to 100 phonebook entries. Each phonebook entry can have a maximum of 24 digits for the phone number and 12 characters for the name. 6.1 Store a Contact in the Phonebook M 1. From the home screen, press . M 2. Press again to select PHONEBOOK. M 3. Press to select NEW ENTRY. 4. Enter the name of the contact (maximum 12 characters) using the keypad. If you make a mistake, press m to delete the last character entered. M 5. Press to confirm the name entry. 6. Enter the number of the contact (maximum 24 digits) using the keypad. If you make a mistake, press m to delete the last digit entered. M 7. Press to confirm. • A confirmation tone is played. O 8. Press to return to standby mode. Note: You cannot store a new phonebook entry when the memory is full. In this case, you have to delete existing entries to make space for new ones. When storing the number for a local call, you can enter only 6 or 7-digit local number without STD (area) code, and it will still display the name if there is an incoming call and you subscribe to caller display. 26
