Administration Guide Making the BlackBerry Web Desktop Manager available to users After you finish: Perform one of the following actions: • On each user's computer that runs a 32-bit version of Windows, add the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software \Microsoft\WindowCurrentVersion\Internet Settings\UseCoInstall. • On each user's computer that runs a 64-bit version of Windows, add the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software \WOW6432Node\Microsoft\WindowCurrentVersion\Internet Settings\UseCoInstall. Publish the client files for the BlackBerry Web Desktop Manager in a Windows GPO for Windows Vista Before you begin: • Add the web address for the BlackBerry Administration Service to the list of trusted web sites in the web browser. • Download and install the Microsoft Group Policy Management Console with Service Pack 1. For more information about installing the service pack, see www.microsoft.com. 1. Open the Microsoft Exchange Management Console. 2. Click File > Add/Remove Snap-in. 3. In the Available Snap-ins list, click Group Policy Management. 4. Click Add. 5. Click OK. 6. Expand Group Policy Management > Forest> Domains. 7. Click the domain name. 8. Right-click the organizational unit that you want to assign the Windows GPO to. 9. Click Create a GPO in this domain, and link it here. 10. In the Name field, type a name for the new GPO. 11. Click OK. 12. Right-click the GPO that you just created. 13. Click Edit. 14. On the Computer Configuration menu, click Policies. 15. Expand Administrator Templates. 226
