14 Windows® Printing Printer Emulation If you are printing from the Windows® environment, it is best to choose the GDI Brother MFC 9100 Series printer driver. Other emulations may reduce performance. If you need to print from DOS, the MFC 9100C will emulate EPSON LQ-510, LQ-850 and LQ-2550. Using the Maintenance Utility Program for Printing from DOS Before printing from DOS applications, you must use this DOS utility and select the paper size. You can select the following in this program. When you print in DOS mode, select an EPSON ESC/P (LQ-510, LQ-850, LQ-2550) compatible emulation driver in your application. 1 Insert the supplied "CD-ROM 1" into your CD-ROM drive. 2 Type CD x:DOS Substitute the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive for "x". 3 Type DOSETUP, then press Enter.
