Basic Operation Using the Dial The dial is mainly used for shooting-related settings. There are three ways to use this dial: (1) While pressing a button, turn the dial until the desired setting appears on the top LCD panel. When you release the button, the selected setting takes effect and the camera will be ready to shoot. In this way, you can set the shooting mode, AF mode, metering mode, drive mode, etc. (2) After pressing a button, turn the dial. When you press a button, its function remains selected for 6 seconds (9). During this time, you can turn the dial to set the desired setting. After the button turns off or if you press the shutter button halfway, the camera will be ready to shoot. In this way, you can select the AF point or press the button to set the exposure compensation amount. (3) Turn the dial only. While referring to the top LCD panel, turn the dial. In this way, you can set the shutter speed, aperture, etc. 35
