d Program AE 1 Select on the LCD panel. Hold down the button and turn the dial to select . Then let go of the button. 2 Focus the subject. Look through the viewfinder and aim the Area AF ellipse over the subject. Then press the shutter button halfway. X The AF point which achieves focus flashes briefly and the focus confirmation light in the viewfinder lights at the same time. X The exposure setting will be displayed on the LCD panel and in the viewfinder. 3 Check the display. X The shutter speed and aperture value will be set automatically and displayed in the viewfinder and on the LCD panel. As long as the shutter speed and aperture value are not blinking, the exposure will be correct. 4 Take the picture. Compose the shot and press the shutter button completely. 98
