d Program AE If "30" and the maximum aperture blink, it indicates underexposure. Increase the ISO speed. Or use flash. If "8000" and the minimum aperture blink, it indicates overexposure. Decrease the ISO speed. Or attach a ND (neutral density) filter (optional) to the lens. If automatic AF point selection (p.82) has been set, all the AF points that achieve focus will light. d stands for Program. AE stands for Auto Exposure. If the focus confirmation light blinks, the shutter will lock and a picture cannot be taken. You can freely change the shutter speed and aperture combination (program) while retaining the same exposure. This is called program shift. To shift the program, press the shutter button halfway and turn the dial until the desired shutter speed or aperture is displayed. After you take the picture, the program shift will be canceled. 99
