Part 3: Technical Reference 1.2 OVERVIEW OF COMPONENTS This section outlines the printer set, options, and consumable. 1.2.1 PRINTER SET a) Printer The printer is a transportable, A4 book-size 80-column narrow carriage printer, and compatible with the IBM Proprinter X24E model 4207-2. The printer has a parallel interface only. It comes in two body colors: white (Cool white) and black (Euro-gray). White Model Black Model Figure 3-2 Printer b) BJ cartridge The BJ cartridge mounted on the printer carriage contains the bubble jet head and ink. The 64-nozzle bubble jet head with a resolution of 360 DPI prints at a rate of 83 CPS. About 20 grams of black ink prints about 450 pages. To prevent clogging of the BJ cartridge nozzles, do not touch the nozzles or CAUTION wipe them off with tissue paper, etc. Figure 3-3 BJ Cartridge 3-2
