OVERVIEW OF PRINTER This section describes the features of the printer. a) IBM compatible laptop •A4 book-size laptop printer compatible with the IBM Proprinter X24E. • Data is printed at 83 characters per second with a low noise level of 45 dB(A) through a parallel interface. b)BJ cartridge •The disposable type BJ cartridge can be inserted in the printer and removed from it with a single action. •The BJ cartridge containing the bubble jet head and ink prints data on regular office paper and envelopes with a resolution of 360 dots per inch. •The printer has a purge unit to maintain the BJ cartridge for high quality printing and easy maintenance. c)3 -way paper feeding • Printer is placed horizontally, cut sheets can be fed manually from the top. • Printer is placed vertically, envelopes and postcards can be fed manually and horizontally from the bottom paper slot. • Optional auto sheet feeder is fitted, cut sheets can be fed automatically and envelopes and postcards can be fed manually and horizontally from the manual feeding tray. d)2-way power supply •The power from AC outlet can be used with the AC adapter. •An optional Ni-Cd battery pack can be put in the printer as a portable power supply. 3-8
