3. Projecting an Image (Basic Operation)  Turning off the Projector To turn off the projector: 1. Press the POWER ( ) button on the projector cabinet or the remote control. The "Push POWER button again to turn off power. /Carbon savings-Session 23.220(g-CO2)" message will appear. See page 39. Amount of carbon emission reduction will be displayed only when [Lamp mode] is set to [Quiet]. When [Lamp mode] is set to [Normal], the amount of carbon emission reduction will be displayed as "00.000 (g-CO2)". POWER INFO. IMAGE INPUT AUTO PC ASPECT MENU BLANK 2. Press the POWER button again. The projector turns off and goes into standby mode. When in standby mode, the POWER indicator will light orange (the cooling fans stop at the same time) and the STATUS indicator will light green. 3. Turn off the Main Power switch. The POWER indicator will go out. The projector has a feature called"Direct Power Off". This feature allows the projector to be turned off (even when projecting an image) by using the Main Power Switch or disconnecting the AC power supply. To turn off the AC power supply when the projector is powered on, use the Main Power Switch, or a power strip equipped with a switch and a breaker. NOTE: Do not turn off the main power within 10 seconds of making adjustment or setting changes and closing the menu. Doing so can cause loss of adjustments and settings. Use caution when picking up the projector immediately after it has been operating. CAUTION: • The projector cannot be turned off for 60 seconds after the lamp is turned on and while the POWER indicator is blinking green. Doing so could cause premature lamp failure. 35

To turn off the projector:

CAUTION:
Parts of the projector will become heated during operation. Use
caution when picking up the projector immediately after it has
been operating.

lamp is turned on and while the POWER indicator is blinking
green. Doing so could cause premature lamp failure.
2. Press the POWER button again.
The projector turns off and goes into standby mode.

TUS indicator will light green.

out.
