Quick Guide to Using the Printer This section explains the basic use of the printer for people who want to start using it quickly. Cover The shape of the power plug varies according to country. N14584 2 Attach the AC adapter. 3 Open the cover. • Move this lever to the left, and then open the cover. 4 Install the ribbon cassette. • Remove the stopper and take up any slack in the ribbon. • Push the cassette in until it clicks into place. CAUTION Do not touch the connector (metal part) Do not touch the connection terminal (metal part) of the cassette. Doing so could cause an improper recognition of the cassette. 12

Installing Accessories

Check that the power switch is turned off.

Attach the AC adapter.

Open the cover.
Move this lever to the left, and then open the cover.

Install the ribbon cassette.
Remove the stopper and take up any slack in the ribbon.
Push the cassette in until it clicks into place.
CAUTION
Do not touch the connector (metal part)
