Shooting in Program AE You can choose the settings for various functions to suit your preferences. AE stands for Auto Exposure. Set the mode dial to G. Adjust the settings according to your purposes (pp. 66 - 75). Shoot. What if the shutter speed and aperture value are displayed in orange? If a correct exposure cannot be obtained when pressing the shutter button halfway, the shutter speed and aperture value are shown in orange. Try the following settings to obtain the correct exposure. • Turn on the flash (p. 66) • Choose a higher ISO speed (p. 70) Turning the Flash On You can make the flash fire every time you shoot. At maximum wide angle, the flash range is approximately 50 cm - 4.0 m (1.6 - 13 ft.), and at maximum telephoto, it is 1.0 - 2.5 m (3.3 - 8.2 ft.) Raise the flash. Choose h. ● After pressing the r button, press the qr buttons or turn the  dial to choose h, then press the m button. X Once set, h will appear. 66
