Installation-Related Menu Settings Specifying Vertical Projection Saving and Restoring Lens Positions > [Install settings] > [Professional settings] > [Vertical projection] HDMI Digital PC Component Analog PC LAN USB You can ensure adequate cooling by switching the fan mode to suit upward- or downward-facing installations. For precautions, see "Install Facing in the Correct Direction" on page 117. > [Install settings] > [Lens - Position] HDMI Digital PC Component Analog PC LAN USB The projector can save information about the lens position in memory. Up to three sets of lens information (including focus, zoom, and lens shift settings) can be saved, and the lens can be restored to these positions. Installation and Maintenance Installation Off Does not alter the fan mode. Upward Setting for use when the projector faces upward Downward Setting for use when the projector faces downward When the setting is completed, press the OK button to accept your setting and then press the MENU button. • [Off] is the factory default. • Be sure to perform this setting to use vertical projection. • Even if you complete this setting, vertical projection will result in a shorter useful life of the lamp and other parts than horizontal projection. If the OK button or [ ] button is pressed, the [Lens - Position] screen is displayed. Select using the [ ] / [ ] buttons. The following options are available on the [Lens - Position] screen. Load position Restores the lens to the 1-3 positions saved using Save position 1-3. Save position Saves the lens position as 1-3 positions 1-3. Lens shift reset Restores the lens to the original position. Press the OK button to accept your setting and then press the MENU button. 147
