Platen Roller If foreign substances such as paper chips adhere to the Platen Roller, paper feed or print quality problems may occur. If they adhere to the Platen Roller, follow the steps below to clean it. IMPORTANT • Do not wipe off the yellow grease applied to the platen gear. Doing so may shorten its life. • Do not use solvents, etc. A Push the Cover Open Lever down to open the Paper Cover. B Lightly wipe the platen surface with a soft, dry cloth to remove the stains.
