[Scanner Name] Set an original name for the scanner so that it can be correctly identified on the network. NOTE • Scanner Name must be 1 to 15 characters in length. The following arbitrary characters can be entered. Numerals: 0 to 9* Alphabetic characters: A to Z , a to z and hyphen (-) * * The scanner name must start with 'a-z' or 'A-Z' and cannot end with '-' • When searching for scanners on the network to select a scanner with Scanning Utility, the Scanner Name is displayed here. For details, see "How to Use the Scanning Utility" on p. 28 [Password Setting] Set the admin password for logging into WEB MENU. NOTE Password must be 0 to 32 characters in length using alphanumeric characters and symbols. [IP Address] Set the IP address of the scanner. [DHCP] If DHCP is checked, the IP address is assigned automatically. NOTE If DHCP is checked, the automatically assigned IP address is displayed in the IP address field. If DHCP is not checked, you can input and configure the IP address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway. [Subnet Mask] Set the Subnet Mask of the scanner. [Default Gateway] Set the Default Gateway of the scanner. [MAC Address] A unique fixed number (physical address) assigned to all network devices (hardware). [MAC Address Filtering] Up to 5 computers can be registered when limiting the number of computers which can control the scanner. [Use mDNS] Checking this (ON) allows the scanner to be found when searching for devices on the network using "Scanning Utility". NOTE If not checked (OFF), enter the IP address of the scanner when selecting a scanner in Scanning Utility. Network settings can be configured in the settings screen of this scanner. [Import Certificate] Import the SSL server certificate to the scanner. [Initialize] The scanner's network settings are reset to initial values (factory default). 35

[Scanner Name]
Set an original name for the scanner so that it can be correctly
identified on the network.
NOTE
• Scanner Name must be 1 to 15 characters in length.
The following arbitrary characters can be entered.

[Password Setting]
Set the admin password for logging into WEB MENU.
NOTE
Password must be 0 to 32 characters in length using alphanumeric
characters and symbols.
[IP Address]
Set the IP address of the scanner.
[DHCP]
If DHCP is checked, the IP address is assigned automatically.
NOTE
If DHCP is checked, the automatically assigned IP address is
displayed in the IP address field.
If DHCP is not checked, you can input and configure the IP address,
Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway.
[Subnet Mask]
Set the Subnet Mask of the scanner.
[Default Gateway]
Set the Default Gateway of the scanner.
[MAC Address]
A unique fixed number (physical address) assigned to all network
devices (hardware).
[MAC Address Filtering]
Up to 5 computers can be registered when limiting the number of
computers which can control the scanner.
[Use mDNS]
Checking this (ON) allows the scanner to be found when searching for
devices on the network using "Scanning Utility".

If not checked (OFF), enter the IP address of the scanner when
selecting a scanner in Scanning Utility.
