Shooting Movies The camera can automatically select all settings so that you can shoot movies just by pressing the movie button. The audio will record in stereo. If you continue shooting for a long time, the camera may become warm. This is not a malfunction. Set the mode dial to E. ● Movies can be shot by pressing the movie button even when the mode dial is in positions other than E (p. 107). Shooting Time Elapsed Time Compose the shot. ● Moving the zoom lever toward i will zoom in on your subject, making it appear larger. Moving the lever toward j will zoom out from your subject, making it appear smaller. Shoot. ● Press the movie button. X The camera will beep once, the movie will start shooting, and [ Rec] and the elapsed time will appear on the screen. ● Once shooting begins, take your finger off the movie button. ● If you change the composition of your shot during shooting, the focus, brightness and tone will automatically adjust. ● You can also zoom in and out with the zoom lever during shooting. 31
