ADVANCED SETTINGS Changing the Focus Mode Your camera provides you with the five focus modes described below. The initial factory default focus mode is Auto Focus. Focus Mode Description Auto Focus Automatic focus when the shutter button is half-pressed. Auto Focus becomes fixed focus while shooting a movie. Macro (Close-up) Pan Focus Infinity Manual Focus Used for close-up shooting. Macro Focus becomes fixed focus while shooting a movie. Fixed focus for relatively wide-range focusing. Use Pan Focus (PF) under conditions where Auto Focus is difficult. Focus is fixed at infinity. Use this mode when shooting scenery and other faraway images. Focus is performed manually.
