For ground connection instructions, see the "Grounding the System" section on page 2-11. Disconnect any network interface cables attached to the module. Loosen the captive screw on the module. Remove the module from the chassis by grasping the handle on the right side of the module and sliding the module part of the way out of the slot. Place your other hand under the module to support the weight of it. Do not touch the module circuitry. See Figure 2-12 or Figure 2-13. Replacing or Installing Components
Removing an Expansion Module
To remove an expansion module from the chassis, follow these steps:
Step 1
Ensure that the system (earth) ground connection has been made. For ground connection instructions,
see the
“Grounding the System” section on page 2-11
.
Step 2
Disconnect any network interface cables attached to the module.
Step 3
Loosen the captive screw on the module.
Step 4
Remove the module from the chassis by grasping the handle on the right side of the module and sliding
the module part of the way out of the slot. Place your other hand under the module to support the weight
of it. Do not touch the module circuitry. See
