When using the edge guide, position the face of the edge guide firmly against the edge of the workpiece. This will help to make a true cut without binding the blade. The edge of the workpiece must be straight for the cut to be straight. Use caution to prevent the blade from binding in the cut. SETTING THE BEVEL ANGLE ,_ WARNING: Always unplug the saw before making any adjustments. Failure to unplug the saw could result in accidental starting, which can cause serious personal injury. 1. Unplug the saw. Fig. 14 / 2. Loosen bevel adjustment lever (Fig. 14). 3. Raise the motor-housing end of the saw until the Bevel Pointer desired angle setting is indicated on the bevel scale. 4.
