OPERATION Removing the Battery IMPORTANT: Use only with series CC6050 or CC6025 batteries. When one or both batteries need to be charged, follow the steps below to remove them: 1. Lift up the battery housing lid. 2. Push in the battery release tab (a). See Figure 14 inset. 3. While pushing in the battery release tab, firmly pull the battery (b) out from the battery port. NOTE: If necessary, repeat STEPS 2 and 3 to remove the remaining battery from the mower. NOTE: To replace with charged battery, refer to Installing Battery on page 13. 4. Close battery housing lid. (a) 5. Use air or a dry rag to clean the outside of the mower, battery and battery charger. IMPORTANT: DO NOT wash the mower with water. The warranty will be voided if water is used on the mower. • Inspect mower, battery and battery charger for any loose or damaged parts. Replace damaged parts and tighten loose screws, nuts or bolts. • For storage between mowing seasons, coat mower's cutting blade with chassis grease or oil to prevent rusting. • Store mower indoors, in a dry, well-ventilated area. Do not store next to corrosive materials, such as fertilizer. • Store the battery and battery charger in an area that is between 65 and 75° F (18 and 24° C). • Always unplug the battery charger when it is not in use. • Store the mower, battery and battery charger out of the reach of children. NOTE: If desired, the mower can be stored in a vertical position (Figure 15). Adjust the cutting height to the lowest setting. Lifting from the front edge, tilt the mower back until the mower is resting on the rear wheels (a) and the handle brackets (b). Position the mower so that the blade is facing a wall. (b) Figure 14 Mower Storage The following steps should be taken to prepare your lawn mower for storage. WARNING Wait for motor and controller heat sink to cool before wiping. 1. Remove the push start safety key. 2. Allow the mower, battery and/or battery charger to cool. 3. Remove the batteries from the mower. 4. Using the handle adjustment levers, fold the handle forward and lock in the down position. Use air or a dry rag to clean the outside of the mower, battery
and battery charger.
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT wash the mower with water. The warranty
will be voided if water is used on the mower.
Inspect mower, battery and battery charger for any loose or

screws, nuts or bolts.

Removing the Battery
IMPORTANT:

Lift up the battery housing lid.
2.
Push in the battery release tab (a). See Figure 14 inset.
3.
While pushing in the battery release tab, firmly pull the
battery (b) out from the battery port.
NOTE:
If necessary, repeat STEPS 2 and 3 to remove the
remaining battery from the mower.
NOTE:
To replace with charged battery, refer to Installing Battery
on page 13.

Close battery housing lid.

Mower Storage
The following steps should be taken to prepare your lawn mower
for storage.
WARNING
Wait for motor and controller heat sink to cool before wiping.
1.
Remove the push start safety key.
2.
Allow the mower, battery and/or battery charger to cool.
3.
Remove the batteries from the mower.
4.
Using the handle adjustment levers, fold the handle forward
and lock in the down position.
