It appears automatically when you log on to the Switch. To return to the Device Information window after viewing other windows, click the DES-3528/DES3552 Series link. The Device Information window shows the Switch's MAC Address (assigned by the factory and unchangeable), the Boot PROM Version, Firmware Version, Hardware Version, and many other important types of information. This is helpful to keep track of PROM and firmware updates and to obtain the Switch's MAC address for entry into another network device's address table, if necessary. In addition, this window displays the status of functions on the Switch to quickly assess their current global status. Many functions are hyper-linked for easy access to enable quick configuration from this window. 5
