DGS-1520 Series Gigabit Ethernet Smart Managed Switch Hardware Installation Guide Port Switch GND Security Lock Description Use an electrical grounding wire and connect one end of the wire to the switch GND and the other end of the wire to an electrical grounding point most commonly found on the Switch mounting rack itself. The Kensington-compatible security lock can be used to connect the Switch to a secure immovable device. Insert the lock into the notch and turn the key to secure the lock. The lock-and-cable apparatus should be purchased separately. Figure 2-9 DGS-1520-28 Rear Panel This following table lists the front panel components unique to the DGS-1520-28: Port Description MGMT Port (PoH IN Port) The RJ45 Management (MGMT) port is an IP-based, Out-Of-Band (OOB) port for Telnet, Web, or SNMP management that operates at 10/100/1000 Mbps wirespeed. This port can be used to configure the Switch without being connected to the network. The MGMT port can also be used to supply the Switch with 90W DC power using Power over HDBaseT. This can be used as the main power source or as the secondary power source to the Switch. When the internal power fails, the external RPS will immediately supply power to the Switch automatically.
