xStack® DGS-3620 Series Managed Switch Web UI Reference Guide Candidate RP Wildcard Prefix Count (0-1) The user may set the Prefix Count value of the wildcard group address here by choosing a value between 0 and 1 with a default setting of 0. IP Address Enter the IP address of the device to be added as a Candidate RP. Subnet mask Enter the corresponding subnet mask of the device to be added as a Candidate RP. Interface Name Enter the IP interface where this device is located. Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. Click the Add button to add a new entry based on the information entered. Click the Delete button to remove the specific entry. PIM Static RP Settings The following window will display the parameters for the switch to become a static RP. To view the following window, click L3 Features > IP Multicast Routing Protocol > PIM > PIM for IPv4 > PIM Static RP Settings, as shown below: Figure 5-86 PIM Static RP Settings window The fields that can be configured are described below: Parameter Description Group Address Enter the multicast group address for this Static RP. This address must be a class D address. Group Mask Enter the mask for the multicast group address stated above. RP Address Enter the IP address of the Rendezvous Point. Click the Add button to add a new entry based on the information entered. Click the Delete button to remove the specific entry. PIM Register Checksum Settings This window is used to configure RP addresses. The data part is included when calculating the checksum for a PIM register message to the RP on the first hop router. To view the following window, click L3 Features > IP Multicast Routing Protocol > PIM > PIM for IPv4 > PIM Register Checksum Settings, as shown below: Figure 5-87 PIM Register Checksum Settings window The fields that can be configured are described below: 216
