Using the Configuration Menu (continued) Tools > Cable Test CCaabbleleTeTset st Cable Test is an advanced feature that integrates a LAN cable tester on every Ethernet port on the router. Through the graphical user interface (GUI), Cable Test can be used to remotely diagnose and report cable faults such as opens, shorts, swaps, and impedance mismatch. This feature significantly reduces service calls and returns by allowing users to easily troubleshoot their cable connections. Ports - The Ethernet port names associated to the physical ports. Link Status - The current link status of the Ethernet cable connected to the respective Ethernet port. More Info - Click on More Info for detailed information about the cable link status. Refresh - Click on Refresh to run the Cable test. Allow the router a few seconds to complete the test. 38
