Location Requirements Location Requirements The following conditions are required when installing your Distinctive refrigerator. „„ Product must NOT be plugged in during installation. Otherwise, there is the risk of death or serious injury! „„ Dacor will NOT be held liable for damages that may arise from procedures carried out by unauthorized persons. „„ Make sure that the power cord is not pinched or crushed while pushing the product into place after installation or cleaning procedures. „„ Choose a location where the refrigerator can be easily accessed and its doors easily opened. „„ Install the refrigerator at least 12" (30 cm) away from heat sources such as ranges, cooktops, ovens, and heaters. Placement „„ Do NOT place the refrigerator in rooms where the temperature falls below 50°F (10ºC). „„ Do NOT place the refrigerator in direct sunlight or allow it to be exposed to humid or other harsh temperatures. „„ Do NOT place the refrigerator on top of rugs or carpets. „„ Place the refrigerator on a flat, level floor surface. „„ Stabilize the refrigerator on uneven surfaces. Turn the front feet to balance the product. To lower, turn in the direction of the arrow, to raise turn in the opposite direction (see image at right, Legs That Stabilize on Uneven Surfaces). Air Clearance „„ Provide minimum required air ventilation: 1/2" (1.3 cm) on each side 1/2" (1.3 cm) above the top 1" (2.5 cm) behind the rear 1/2" (5 cm) between two units „„ Attach spacers on the vent cover located on the back of the refrigerator. Spacers will create about a 1-inch buffer between the refrigerator and the rear wall, preventing the refrigerator from butting against the back wall and stopping air circulation. Water Line Install a water valve on the main water supply pipe. The refrigerator will connect to this water line. Water is used for the: „„ Ice maker to produce ice cubes, and for the „„ Water dispenser to provide water for the filtered water dispensing system. IMPORTANT Make sure all requirements are followed, and that the installation is performed according to all codes and professional standards. Stabilize the refrigerator on uneven surfaces.
