2. Adjust the paper guides so they rest against the edges of the paper. NOTE: When you feed paper from the tray loaded with Legal size paper, extend the rear side of the tray. 3. Before loading the print media, flex the sheets back and forth, and then fan them. Straighten the edges of the stack on a level surface. 4. Place the print media into the tray with the recommended print side face up. NOTE: Do not exceed the maximum fill line in the tray. Overfilling the tray may cause paper jams. 5. Adjust the width guides until they rest lightly against the edges of the stack of paper. NOTE: When loading user-specified print media, adjust the width guides and slide the extendable part of the tray by down the length guide until it rests lightly against the edge of the stack of paper. 6. After confirming that the guides are securely adjusted, insert the tray into the printer and extend the output tray on the top of the printer. Loading Letterhead The letterhead must be toward the top edge of the tray 1 with the print side facing up. Before loading the print media, flex the sheets back and forth, and then fan them. Straighten the edges of the stack on a level surface.

Place the print media into the tray with the recommended print side face up.

Adjust the width guides until they rest lightly against the edges of the stack of paper.

After confirming that the guides are securely adjusted, insert the tray into the printer and extend the output tray on the top of the printer.
Loading Letterhead
The letterhead must be toward the top edge of the tray 1 with the print side facing up. However, the letterhead must be inserted top edge first with the print
side facing down when loading paper into the single sheet feeder.
NOTE:
When you feed paper from the tray loaded with Legal size paper, extend the rear side of the tray.
