Securing the Media Base 1 Open the security cable slot by sliding the security-cable release button on the back of the media base. 1 2 1 security cable release button 2 security cable slot 2 Hold the security-cable release button open, and then attach a commercially available antitheft device to the security cable slot on the media base. Antitheft devices usually include a segment of metal-stranded cable with an attached locking device and associated key. Dell recommends that you use a Kensington lock.
