Remove screws F1 through F4., To free the reserve battery

To remove the reserve battery, follow these steps: 1. Remove the palmrest assembly. 2. Remove the superpart assembly. 3. Remove the superpart docking EMI clip and the superpart serial EMI clip. 4. Unplug the battery from connector JRBAT. 5. Place the superpart assembly upside down on a flat work surface. 6. Remove screws F1 through F4. Remove the speaker/fan bracket protecting the speakers and fan. CAUTION: When replacing the speaker/fan bracket, be sure to reinstall the middle tab correctly. 7. Lift the battery out of its recess in the superpart assembly. To free the reserve battery, thread the battery cable and connector through the opening in the plastic superpart assembly. Removing and Replacing Parts

To remove the reserve battery, follow these steps:
1.
Remove the palmrest assembly.
2.
Remove the superpart assembly.
3.
Remove the superpart docking EMI clip and the superpart serial EMI
clip.
4.
Unplug the battery from connector JRBAT.
5.
Place the superpart assembly upside down on a flat work surface.
6.
Remove screws F1 through F4.
Remove the speaker/fan bracket protecting the speakers and fan.
7.
Lift the battery out of its recess in the superpart assembly.
To free the reserve battery, thread the battery cable and connector through
the opening in the plastic superpart assembly.
CAUTION: When replacing the speaker/fan bracket, be sure to rein-
stall the middle tab correctly.
