Follow the procedures in Before Working on Your Computer. 2. Close the display and turn the computer over. 3. Remove the battery (see Removing the Battery). 4. Remove the bottom of the base assembly (see Removing the Bottom of the Base Assembly). 5. Remove the orange modem flex cable from the I/O board by pushing the tabs forward and removing the cable. 6. Remove the M2 x 3-mm screw from the modem. 7. Remove the black RJ11 modem cable from the modem. 8. Place the modem into the base assembly. 3. Replace the M2 x 3-mm screw to secure the modem to the I/O board. 4. Connect the orange modem flex cable to the I/O board. 5. Replace the bottom of the base assembly (see Replacing the Bottom of the Base Assembly).
