Received Bad Packets The number of RIP response packets received by the RIP process which were subsequently discarded for any reason (for example, a version 0 packet, or an unknown command type). Received Bad Routes The number of routes, in valid RIP packets, which were ignored for any reason (for example, unknown address family, or invalid metric). Sent Updates The number of triggered RIP updates actually sent on this interface. This explicitly does NOT include full updates sent containing new information. The following example displays IP RIP peer information. Console# show ip rip peer Address Route Last Update Version Received Received Tag Bad Packets Bad Routes 176.16.1.1 10:00:17 20 1 192.168.1.1 10:00:27 20 0 The following table describes the fields shown in the display: Field Address Route Tag Last Update Version Received Bad Packets Received Bad Routes Description The peer IP Address. The value in the Routing Domain field in RIP packets received from the peer. Time left since the most recent RIP update was received from this system. The RIP version number in the header of the last RIP packet received. The number of RIP response packets from this peer discarded as invalid. The number of routes from this peer that were ignored because the entry format was invalid. 332 RIP Commands
