This indicator is controlled by the hard drive. Intel Server Management Software Options The Lock Front Panel option does not change the status of the SD/INT button. This button cannot be locked out. After changing the system's IP address, you must reboot the system. The Intel Server Management software will not be available until you reboot the system. Installing the PERC 4/DC Megaraid Driver If you are using a RAID controller card with the Red Hat Linux operating system, you must update the megaraid driver. Two methods for updating this driver are described below. From the operating system, you may install the megaraid driver rpm from the Dell PowerEdge 3250 PERC 4/DC CD. The megaraid driver rpm is also available on support.dell.com. Perform the following steps to install the rpm: 1 Type cd /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS. 2 Install the megaraid driver rpm by typing the following command: rpm -ivh --force megaraid-1.18f-1.ia64.rpm 3 Reboot your system to use this driver.
