Enabling Energy Efficient Ethernet Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) is an IEEE 802.3 az standard that reduces power consumptions on Ethernet ports. EEE stops the transmission when there is no data to be transmitted and resumes the transmission at the arrival of new packets.
