Start Physical Disk Channel Blink This command identifies the expansion enclosures that are connected to a specific physical disk port by turning on the indicator lights for the expansion enclosure that is connected to the physical disk port. Use the stop physicalDiskChannel blink command to turn off the indicator lights on the expansion enclosure. Syntax start physicalDiskChannel [(1 | 2)] blink Parameter Parameter Description physicalDiskChannel The identifier number of the physical disk channel that you want to locate. Valid values for the identifier number are 1 or 2. Enclose the identifier number in square brackets ([ ]). Start Physical Disk Channel Fault Isolation Diagnostics This command runs the physical disk channel fault isolation diagnostics and stores the results. Syntax start physicalDiskChannel [(1 | 2)] controller [(0 | 1)] faultDiagnostics testDevices=[(all | controller=(0 | 1) | emms=[enclosureID1 slotID1, enclosureID2 slotID2... enclosureIDn slotIDn] | physicalDisks= (enclosureID1,slotID1... enclosureIDn,slotIDn)] | (dataPattern=(fixed | pseudoRandom) | patternNumber=[(0xhexadecimal | number)] | maxErrorCount=integer | testIterations=integer | timeout=timeInterval) Parameters Parameter physicalDiskChannel controller Description The identifier number of the physical disk channel that you want to locate. Valid values for the identifier number are 1 or 2. Enclose the identifier number in square brackets ([ ]). The identifier letter of the RAID controller module that you want to test. Valid RAID controller module identifier values are 0 and 1. The identifier value is 0 for the RAID controller module on the top and 1 for the RAID controller module on the bottom when viewed from the rear of the enclosure. testDevices The identifiers of the devices (RAID controller modules, EMMs, or physical disks) that you want to test. You can specify all or enter the specific identifiers for the devices that you want to diagnose. dataPattern The method of repeatability that you want to test. 211
