Installing Audio Drivers Your system's audio drivers were installed at Dell and are operative when you receive the system-no further installation or configuration is needed. The following subsections provide instructions on reinstalling these drivers. Audio Drivers for Windows 95 To reinstall the audio drivers for Windows 95, follow these steps: 1. Use the Dell DiskMaker program (located in the Dell Accessories program folder) to make a diskette copy of the audio drivers installed on your hard-disk drive. 2. Start the Windows 95 operating system. 3. Insert the Windows 95 audio drivers diskette into drive A. 4. From the Start menu, select Run. Type a:\setup in the dialog box and click OK. 5. At the Crystal Semiconductor dialog box, click Install Driver. 6. At the Complete Installation dialog box, click Restart. 7. If the Update Device Driver Wizard window appears, click Next. When the files have been copied, click Finish. If the Copying Files dialog box prompts you for the location of additional files, type a:\ and click OK. If the New Hardware Found dialog box appears, select Drivers From Disk Provided by Hardware Manufacturer and click OK. 8. After the drivers have been installed, remove the diskette from drive A and restart Windows 95. Audio Drivers for Windows NT 4.0 To reinstall the audio drivers for Windows NT 4.0, follow these steps: 1. Use the Dell DiskMaker program (located in the Dell Accessories folder) to make a diskette copy of the audio drivers installed on your hard-disk drive. 2. Start the Windows NT 4.0 operating system. 3. Insert the Windows NT 4.0 audio drivers diskette into drive A. 4. From the Start menu, select Settings and then Control Panel. 5. Double-click the Multimedia icon. 6. From the Multimedia Properties window, click the Devices tab and then click Add. 7. From the Add dialog box, select Unlisted or Updated Driver and click OK. 8. From the Install Driver dialog box, type a:\ and click OK. 9. From the Add Unlisted or Updated Driver dialog box, select CS32BA11 Business Audio NT Ver. 1.25 and click OK. After the drivers have been installed, there will be a new Audio Control program folder with two programs- Audio Mixer and Audio Input. Using the Integrated Audio Controller 6-3

nstalling Audio Drivers
Your system’s audio drivers were installed at Dell and are
operative when you receive the system—no further
installation or configuration is needed. The following
subsections provide instructions on reinstalling these
drivers.
Audio Drivers for Windows 95
To reinstall the audio drivers for Windows 95, follow
these steps:
1.
Use the Dell DiskMaker program (located in the
Dell Accessories program folder) to make a dis-
kette copy of the audio drivers installed on your
hard-disk drive.
2.
Start the Windows 95 operating system.
3.
Insert the Windows 95 audio drivers diskette into
drive A.
4.
From the Start menu, select Run. Type
a:\setup
in the dialog box and click OK.
5.
At the Crystal Semiconductor dialog box, click
Install Driver.
6.
At the Complete Installation dialog box, click
Restart.
7.
If the Update Device Driver Wizard window
appears, click Next. When the files have been
copied, click Finish.
If the Copying Files dialog box prompts you for the

If the New Hardware Found dialog box appears,

To reinstall the audio drivers for Windows NT 4.0, follow
these steps:

Use the Dell DiskMaker program (located in the
Dell Accessories folder) to make a diskette copy of
the audio drivers installed on your hard-disk
drive.
2.
Start the Windows NT 4.0 operating system.
3.
Insert the Windows NT 4.0 audio drivers diskette
into drive A.
4.
From the Start menu, select Settings and then
Control Panel.
5.
Double-click the Multimedia icon.
6.
From the Multimedia Properties window, click
the Devices tab and then click Add.
7.
From the Add dialog box, select Unlisted or
Updated Driver and click OK.
8.
From the Install Driver dialog box, type
a:\
and
click OK.
9.
From the Add Unlisted or Updated Driver dialog
box, select CS32BA11 Business Audio NT
Ver. 1.25 and click OK.
After the drivers have been installed, there will be a new
Audio Control program folder with two programs—
