TROUBlE ShOOTING Problem Coffee maker does not turn on. Possible cause / solution \EN • Make sure that it is plugged into a polarized electrical outlet. Refer to page 3. Water tank is loose. • Tank not in proper position. • Hold water tank close to back of coffee maker and slide down. Be sure slots fit over tabs on coffee maker. Replace lid. The coffee maker only brews a portion of water placed in the reservoir. BREWING TIPS • Coffee maker may require cleaning. Refer to Cleaning and Care pages 15 and 16. Maintain quality coffee flavor. • It is important to keep you carafe and brew basket clean. After each use thoroughly wash these items. Refer to cleaning and care pages 15 and 16. How much coffee to use for each pot. • Depending on the desired strength of the coffee, a ration of one tablespoon per cup is recommended starting point. You may adjust this amount to suit your personal preference. Grinding your coffee. • Pre-ground coffee is perfectly acceptable, but the best coffee comes from fresh ground beans. It is recommended that you grind your beans immediately prior to brewing, and set your grinder to the medium grind level setting. Medium grind is the optimum setting for most automatic drip coffee makers.
