Chapter 2 BIOS Description 3.Advanced BIOS Features Advanced BIOS Features Menu 3.1 Removable Device Priority This option is used to select the priority for Removable Device, e.g. floppy. 3.2 Hard Disk Boot Priority This option is used to select the priority for HDD startup. After pressing , you can select the HDD using the Up / Down arrow keys, and change the HDD priority using / or / ; you can exit this menu by pressing . 3.3 CD-ROM Boot Priority This option is used to select the priority for CD-ROM startup. After pressing , you can select the CD-ROM using the Up / Down arrow keys, and change the CD-ROM priority using / or / ; you can exit this menu by pressing . 3.4 First/Second/Third Boot Device This option allows you to set the boot device's sequence. 3.5 Boot Other Device W hile enabled, the system will boot from some other devices if the first/ second/third boot devices failed. 3.6 Boot Up Floppy Seek This option controls whether the BIOS checks for a floppy drive while booting up. If it cannot detect one (either due to improper configuration or physical unavailability), it will appear an error message. 3.7 Boot Up NumLock Status This item allows you to select the power-on status for the NumLock. The available setting values are: On and Off. 26

3.1 Removable Device Priority
This option is used to select the priority for Removable Device, e.g. floppy.
3.2 Hard Disk Boot Priority
This option is used to select the priority for HDD startup. After pressing
<Enter>, you can select the HDD using the Up / Down arrow keys, and change
the HDD priority using <PageUp> / <PageDn> or <+> / <->; you can exit this
menu by pressing <Esc>.
3.3 CD-ROM Boot Priority
This option is used to select the priority for CD-ROM startup. After pressing
<Enter>, you can select the CD-ROM using the Up / Down arrow keys, and
change the CD-ROM priority using <PageUp> / <PageDn> or <+> / <->;
you can exit this menu by pressing <Esc>.
3.4 First/Second/Third Boot Device
This option allows you to set the boot device
s sequence.
3.5 Boot Other Device
While enabled, the system will boot from some other devices if the first/
second/third boot devices failed.
3.6 Boot Up Floppy Seek
