2. Disconnect the RTC Battery cable and locate the CLRP2 jumper in the DIMM bay. 3. Use an electric conductivity tool to short the two HW Gap points. 4. Plug in AC, keep the HW Gap shorted, and press the Power Button to power on the system until BIOS POST finishes, then remove the tool from the HW Gap. 5. Restart the system. Press the F2 key to enter the BIOS Setup menu. 6. If there is no Password request, the BIOS Password has cleared. Otherwise, please follow the steps above and try again. NOTE: These steps are only for clearing the BIOS Password (Supervisor Password and User Password). 144 Chapter 5

Use an electric conductivity tool to short the two HW Gap points.

Plug in AC, keep the HW Gap shorted, and press the Power Button to power on the system until BIOS POST
finishes, then remove the tool from the HW Gap.
5.
Restart the system. Press the
F2
key to enter the BIOS Setup menu.
6.
If there is no Password request, the BIOS Password has cleared. Otherwise, please follow the steps above
and try again.
NOTE:
These steps are only for clearing the BIOS Password (Supervisor Password and User Password).
